LegacyPro 400

Last year I asked my dad to buy me some LegacyPro films. It is rebranded Fuji Neopan. As soon as I heard that it was going to be discontinued I immediately decided that I needed to try some. I ordered a brick of LegacyPro 400 and a brick of LegacyPro 100. Unfortunately the clever salesmen there at freestyle was able to convince my dad to buy two bricks of LegacyPro 400 film.

Tested a roll during the semestral break and I have to say this is the first time I got really contrasty results with any type of film that i've used so far. I'm used to Fomapan 400 which gives a low contrast signature.

I accidentally developed the film in 1:3 instead of the 1+3 stated in the massive development chart. So maybe the film was overdeveloped which is why it came out contrasty.

Chinatown

This is my version of the bicycle shot

I know it's cliche but hey I can't just let a moment pass like that. Suffice it to say i had to expose three frames just to get one with least number of people in the frame. I still wish there were no people there though.

Balut Series

There's this man who sells balut every night in front of our building. He sets up his basket and his chair at around 5pm in the afternoon and then spends the whole night waiting for people to buy his one-day-old specialty. I think it's a pretty interesting job selling these midnight snacks for the masses in the wee hours of the night. Imagine all those conversations with drunkards and insomniacs who want to get a taste of premature chicken.

So on the very first free day of the Christmas break I went and out and brought my box camera to snap just a few shots.I saw him in front of our building and asked if i could take his picture. So it came out like this:

Walked a few meters farther and saw another balut vendor in front of the church compound. decided to take a picture of her too.

And then I spotted another one.

Places I've beem to

I find it very therapeutic to go on walks alone. There's just that empowering feeling of independence that I get. Add to that the faces I encounter along the way. Sometimes you just have to find out for yourself the happiness that's been predestined for you to experience.
