reality came crashing down on these kids too early in life. but there should be no reason why this should makes us feel better. in fact, they're the ones who seem to be enjoying the most out of life.

"It means that we're just dolls. We don't have a clue what's really going down, we just kid ourselves that we're in control of our lives while a paper's thickness away things that would drive us mad if we thought about them for too long play with us, and move us around from room to room, and put us away at night when they're tired, or bored."

From Rose Walker's diary, in SANDMAN #16: "Lost Hearts"

when you've given yourself some room to think, you'll realize that you're moving with the world too fast for you to even notice that you left "life" standing by.

when i took this shot, i actually felt i was looking at a mirror. i just couldn't let the moment slip away.
this is really how i imagine myself drowning in the depths of reading a book.

on some days i would find myself alone, sitting on the benches around this area. watching people come and go. or just staring into the horizon..

stayed up late during the 18th of November waiting for leonids meteor shower. but we weren't able to see anything. i decided to leave the lubitel outside with the shutter open and pointed it to the sky. lo and behold, the stars didn't betray me.

GAS check

my latest acquisition. bought this off ebay for 28 bucks. konica auto s2 rangefinder. i wanted one of these because i've read stories of its excellent lens and not too many people use this camera. another hint to my non-conformist principles hehehehe.

to start with, the seller doesn't know anything about this camera so it was a gamble to bid on it. the description just says that the previous owner was a collector (a PLUS!!) and that the shutter works at least.

it came two weeks later and i was surprised to find that all the functions are working.shutter speeds working, aperture opens at all stops. the rangefinder is crisp and clear. the cosmetics are excellent except that when i first opened it, dust was all over.

i guess this would be my second camera next to my fed-2. no more camera buying until graduation(leica dreams!!).

gotta spend more on processing and developing equipment
